Troubleshooting
The CHARGE light is off.
Clean the charging contac ts on the handset and telephone base e ach month with a
pencil eraser or a dry non -abrasive fabric.
Make sure the power adapter and telepho ne line cord are plugged in correc tly and
securely.
Unplug the power adapter. Wait for 15 seconds before p lugging it back in. Allow up
to one minute for the handset and tel ephone base to reset.
There is no dial tone.
First, try all the above sugg estions.
Move the handset closer to the tel ephone base. It might be out of range.
The telephone line cord mig ht be malfunctioning. Install a new te lephone line cord.
Disconnect the teleph one base from the telephone wall jack an d connect a different
telephone. If there is no dial tone o n this telephone either, the problem is in your
wiring or local servi ce. Contact your local telephone co mpany.
The telephone does not ring w hen there is an incoming call.
Make sure the handset ringer volu me is not set to the lowest level (page 8) and the
telephone base ringer volum e is not set to zero (page 29).
Make sure the telephone line cor d and power adapter are plugged in properl y
(page 2).
The handset might be too far from t he telephone base. Move it closer to the
telephone base.
There might be too many extensio n phones on the telephone line to allow all o f them
to ring simultaneously. Unplug so me of them.
If the other telephones in your hom e are having the same problem, the probl em is in
the wiring or local serv ice. Contact the local telepho ne company (charges may apply).
Other electronic prod ucts can cause interference to you r cordless telephone. Install
your telephone as far away as possible f rom electronic devices such a s: wireless
routers, radios, cellular tel ephones, digital telephones, i ntercoms, room monitors,
televisions, VCRs, personal co mputers, kitchen appliances , and other cordless
telephones.
Test a working telephone at the telephone wa ll jack. If another telephone has
the same problem, the probl em is in the telephone wall jack. Conta ct your local
telephone company (charges may ap ply).
The telephone line cord mig ht be malfunctioning. Install a new te lephone line cord.
Re-install the batter y and place the handset in the teleph one base or charger.
Wait for the handset to synchronize wi th the telephone base. Allow up to one minu te
for this to take place.
