CHECKING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS/ CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE SHOES

CHK ADJ

CHECKING THE FRONT BRAKE PADS

1.Remove:

●Front wheel 2.Check:

●Brake pads

Wear indicator groove 1 almost touch the brake disc → Replace the brake pads as a

set.

Refer to “FRONT BRAKE” in CHAPTER 8.

Brake pad wear limit a: 1 mm (0.04 in)

3.Operate the brake lever. 4.Install:

●Front wheel

CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE SHOES

1.Operate the brake lever or brake pedal. 2.Check:

●Wear indicator 1

Reaches the wear limit line 2 → Replace the brake shoes as a set.

Refer to “REAR BRAKE” in CHAPTER 8.
