REMOVING THE CAMSHAFT AND ROCKER ARMS

1.Remove:

Camshaft 1

NOTE:

Screw in a M10 bolt 2 into the thread hole on the camshaft, and pull out the camshaft.

2.Remove:

Rocker arm shafts (intake and exhaust) 1

Rocker arms 2

NOTE:

Use a slide hammer 3 to remove the rocker arm shafts.

Slide hammer set:

P/N. YU-01083-A

Slide hammer bolt (M6):

P/N. 90890-01083

Weight:

P/N. 90890-01084

REMOVING THE VALVES AND VALVE SPRINGS

1.Check:

Valve sealing

Leakage at the valve seat Check the valve face, valve seat and valve seat width.

Refer to “CHECKING THE VALVES AND VALVE SPRINGS”.

*****************************************************

Checking steps:

Pour a clean solvent 1 into the intake and exhaust ports.

Check that the valve seals properly.

There should be no leakage at the valve seat 2.
