CAMSHAFT, ROCKER ARMS AND VALVES

REMOVING THE CAMSHAFT AND ROCKER ARMS

1.Remove:

●Camshaft 1

NOTE:

Screw in a M10 bolt 2 into the thread hole on the camshaft, and pull out the camshaft.

2.Remove:

●Rocker arm shafts (intake and exhaust) 1

●Rocker arms 2

NOTE:

Use a slide hammer 3 to remove the rocker arm shafts.

Slide hammer bolt (M6):

P/N. 90890-01083

Weight:

P/N. 90890-01084

REMOVING THE VALVES AND VALVE SPRINGS

1.Check:

●Valve sealing

Leakage at the valve seat → Check the valve face, valve seat and valve seat width.

Refer to “CHECKING THE VALVES AND VALVE SPRINGS”.

Checking steps:

●Pour a clean solvent 1 into the intake and exhaust ports.

●Check that the valve seals properly.

There should be no leakage at the valve seat 2.
