9.1.1What You Can Do in the Static Route Screens

9.2 The Static Route Screen
Use this screen to view the static route rules. Click Network Setting > Static Route to open the Static Route screen.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

Add new static | Click this to configure a new static route. |

Destination IP | This parameter specifies the IP network address of the final destination. Routing is always |
| based on network number. |

Gateway | This is the IP address of the gateway. The gateway is a router or switch on the same |
| network segment as the device's LAN or WAN port. The gateway helps forward packets to |
| their destinations. |
|
|
Subnet Mask | This parameter specifies the IP network subnet mask of the final destination. |
|
|
Metric | This is the number of transmission hops between this |
| destination. |
|
|
Modify | Click the Edit icon to go to the screen where you can set up a static route on the |
| |
| Click the Delete icon to remove a static route from the |
| displays asking you to confirm that you want to delete the route. |

9.2.1 Static Route Add/Edit
Use this screen to add or edit a static route. Click Add new Static Route Entry in the Routing screen or the Edit icon next to the static route you want to edit. The screen shown next appears.
