Cleaning the Scanner

1Open the control panel, by lifting it in the centre and folding it to the front.

2Gently wipe the scanner glass behind the panel with a cloth (A).

3Close the panel back.

1Press MENU. RECEPT. SET-UPappears on the display.

2Using [ select CART. MAINTEN..

3Confirm with o.

4Using [ select CLEAN CARTRIDGE.

5Confirm with o.

6Select using [ YES.

7The device prints a test page.

If the printing quality is still unsatisfactory, you must man- ually clean the cartridge.

Cleaning the Cartridge Manually

1Open the device and remove the cartridge from the holder.

2Disconnect the device from the power supply.

3Clean the contacts (A) with a slightly moistened cloth.

DANGER!

Do not touch the print jets (B)!

Do not touch the print jets (B)!

4Clean the contacts on the holder before reinserting the cartridge.

Cleaning the Cartridge

If the quality of the printed documents diminishes, the car- tridge must be cleaned.
