OUTPUT TERMINALS

TAPE END OUT Terminal

œDuring recording, when the end of the tape is reached or when the tape counter reading indicates 8 hours, the output becomes 0V (Low). During autorepeat recording, the output becomes 0 V (Low) for about 2 seconds only.

œTo reset the output, press the STOP or EJECT button.

TAPE END OUT Terminal Output Setting

1Press the MENU button to display the MAIN MENU.

2Turn the JOG dial to select the “5.ALARM/SERIES REC SET” line, then turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.

øThe (ALARM/SERIES REC SET) menu appears.

3Turn the JOG dial until the “TAPE END OUT” setting is highlighted, then turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.

4Turn the JOG dial to select the desired mode, then turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.

8:00 (6:00) . . The output becomes 0 V (Low) when the tape counter reaches “8H 00M 00S (or 6H 00M 00S)” and/or when the tape reaches the end.

END . . . . . . . The output becomes 0 V (Low) when the tape reaches the end.

NOTES:

œIf the “TAPE” in the (GENERAL SET) menu is set to “T-120”, “6:00” will be indicated instead of “8:00”.

œIf the “SERIES REC” is set to “Y” in the (ALARM/SERIES REC SET) menu, the output becomes 0 V (Low) for about 2 seconds when the counter reaches “8H 00M 00S”, even if the “TAPE END OUT” is set to “END”.

œIf the “SERIES REC” is set to “Y” in the (ALARM/SERIES REC SET) menu, the output becomes 0 V (Low) until 5 minutes have passed after the tape reaches the end.

5Press the MENU EXIT button.

COM Terminal

œCommon GND (ground) terminal when connecting other terminals to external devices.

TIMER OUT terminal

œDuring timer recording, the output becomes 0 V.

œDuring timer recording stand-by mode, the output is 5 V (High).
