The purpose of the following section is to provide specific instructions to the user of the AF-300C11 drive regarding warranty administration and how to obtain assistance on both in-warranty and out- of-warranty equipment.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

Warranty period is 12 months after installation or 18 months after shipment from the Company, whichever occurs first."

However, the guarantee will not apply in the fol- lowing cases, even if the guarantee term has not expired:

1.Damage was caused by incorrect use or inap- propriate repair or modification.

2.The product was used in an environment out-

side the standard specified range.

3.Damage was caused by dropping the product after purchase or occurred during transporta- tion.

4.Damage was caused by an earthquake, fire, flooding, lightning, abnormal voltage or other natural calamities and secondary disasters

Before calling the number at left to determine warranty status, the drive serial number will be required. This is located on the drive nameplate. If the drive is still under warranty, further infor- mation will be required per the "in Warranty Failure Checklist" shown on following page of this instruction Book.

OUT-OF WARRANTY PROCEDURES When the defect has been identified, contact your local Authorized AF-300C11 Distributor to order replacement unit.

MOTORS

Motor repairs on General Electric motors are generally handled by GE Authorized Electric Motor Servicenters or GE Apparatus Service Shops. For specific instructions on your motor, call the distributor from which it was pur- chased and be prepared to furnish complete nameplate data.
