8.Important: For the PowerBook G4 (12-inch DVI) model, the optical drive bezel is included with the replacement drive, so do not remove it. This step applies only to the PowerBook G4 (12-inch) model.

Use a black stick to press the tabs and remove the slot load bezel. Pull the bezel straight off the drive.

9. Disconnect the flex cable.

10. Install the replacement optical drive, and reassemble and test the computer.
