Connect to virtual private networks
Virtual private netwo rks (VPNs) al low entry in to secured loc al net-
works from the outside. Co rporations, sc hools, and othe r institu-
tions use VPNs to grant acces s to local network re sources when
people are not on campus o r connected to a wire less network .
To congure VPN access, you must rst obta in the de tails from
your network administrator. Depending on your organization’s so-
lution, you may need to obtai n a VPN app, eithe r from your admi n-
istrator or on Google Play.
Only the tablet’s owner c an create, edit , and activate a VPN. O nce
activated, the VPN setti ngs apply to all use rs.
Settings
The VPN settings scree n allows you to add VP N net-
works and adjust their set tings. To view this scr een
and perform the tasks des cribed here, go to Set-
tings > Wireless & networks > M ore > VPN.

Add a VPN

1. From the VPN sc reen, touch Add V PN prole.
2. I n the form that appears , ll in the information provi ded by
your network administrator
3. To uch Save.
The VPN is added to the list on th e VPN screen.
