Most apps include a Menu icon near the top or bottom of th e
screen that lets you contr ol the app’s settin gs.
Start Gmail

Use the Gmail app to read and wri te email from
any mobile device or browse r. To open it, touch the
Gmail icon on a Home or All Ap ps screen.
But Gmail isn’t just abou t email. You can use your
Gmail account to sign in to all Go ogle apps and ser -
vices, including the se and many more:
• Google Now, for getting jus t the right informatio n at just the
right time
• Calendar
• People, for keeping trac k of your contacts
• Google Drive, for worki ng with documents, sprea dsheets, or
drawings
While you’re reading a message:
• Touch the icons and menu along t he top of the screen to ar-
chive, throw away, label, or pe rform other actions on that
message.
• Swipe left or right to rea d the previous or ne xt conversatio n.
To organize your email, check th e box beside a messa ge to select
it. Then use the icons and m enu along the top of the scree n to
manage the selected mess ages.
To change your settings, add a n account, or get help , touch the
Menu icon.
