When the switch is Off, yo ur tabl et can ’t nd your pr ecis e loca tion
or share it with any apps.
IMPORTANT: Turning off locatio n access for your tablet
also turns it off for Google N ow, other Google apps, and
non-Google apps. T hat means that no apps can receiv e
your precise location in formation, and many useful fea -
tures will be disabled.
For Google apps
When location access fo r your tablet is turned on , you can pre-
vent Google apps from usin g this information wi th one easy set-
ting – without affectin g access by non- Google apps. To do so:
1. Go to Setting s > Accounts > Googl e > Location setti ngs.
2. S lide the switch to the Off position.
IMPORTANT: When you turn Location settings off, non -
Google apps and Google ’s location servi ce will continue to
receive your location. To cha nge these setting s, go to Set-
tings > Personal > Location access.
Change backup & reset options If your tablet has multiple u sers, only the o wner can see the ba ck-
up & reset options.
