IMPORTANT: Turning off locatio n access for your tablet
also turns it off for Google N ow, other Google apps, and
third-party app s. That means th at no apps can rec eive your
precise location infor mation and many usef ul features will
be disabled.
To keep location access on, you m ust keep GPS sat ellites, Wi-Fi &
mobile network location, or both settings checked.
If you prefer, you can turn off l ocation access by Google ap ps
while still permittin g its use by non-G oogle apps – just g o to Set-
tings > Accounts > Google > Lo cation setting s.

Search & Voice Actions basics
To use Google Search, touch Google on any H ome screen or s wipe
up from the bottom of your tabl et.
You can use Voice Actions with Goo gle Search to get dire ctions,
send messages, and per form a number of o ther common task s.

You can initiate a Voice Search or Voi ce Action in severa l ways:
• Touch the Microphone icon in the Google Chrome omnibox.
• Touch the Microphone icon on the Home scr een or Google
Now screen and speak.
• Touch Google on the H ome screen and say “ Google”.
