2. C onnect your tablet to you r computer with a USB cable . An-
droid File Transfer starts , if it’s not alread y running, an d opens
a window that displays the con tents of your tablet , along with
storage space details at th e bottom of the wind ow.
3. Wo rk with this window muc h as you do in the Finder wi ndow:
open and close folders, c reate new folders , and drag les to or
from it and other Finder windows.
4. D isconnect the U SB cable when you nish.

Device > Storage > Menu > USB co mputer connect ion.
Extend battery life If your tablet has multiple u sers, each can c hange the global B at-
tery settings.
To control Battery settin gs, go to Settings > Device > Bat tery.
You can extend your batter y’s life between c harges by turni ng off
features that you don’t nee d. You can also monitor h ow apps and
system resources consum e battery powe r.
• If you aren’t using Wi-F i, Bluetooth, or GPS, us e the Settings
app to turn them off. The GPS se tting is located in Se ttings >
Personal > Location access.
• Don’t leave the Maps or Navig ation apps open on the sc reen
when you’re not using them . They use GPS (and thus more
power) only when they’re running.
• Turn down screen brightnes s and set a shorte r Sleep timeout:
Settings > Device > Display.
• If you don’t need it, turn of f automatic syncing for all a pps:
