• Quick Settings (Android 4.2)
Use Quick Settings to easi ly access Wi-Fi settin gs, manage
display brightness, o pen the main Sett ings menu, and mo re.
Swipe down from the top rig ht corne r of any scree n to open
Quick Settings, then to uch one of the boxes to open a speci c
setting.
• Expandable notications
Expandable notications were introdu ced in Andro id 4.1, in-
cluding the optio n to perfor m actions f rom the noti cation it-
self. In Android 4.2, you c an expand n otications more easily
with a swipe of your nger.
Swipe down the notica tion shade from the top of the s creen,
then glide your nger down the notica tions to expa nd them.
Touch an icon inside a notication to h andle a task directly.
• Rearrange Home screens
Slide an icon slowly to move oth er icons or widgets gently
aside.
Touch & hold an icon a nd slide slowly to the locatio n of your
choice. Slide an icon qui ckly over another to cre ate a folder.
• Screen magnication (Android 4.2)
Users with vi sual impai rments ca n enter full-scre en magni -
cation by triple-tap ping the screen .
Go to Settings > Sys tem > Acc essibility > Magni cation ges -
tures to turn on screen magnic ation.
• Google Now
Google Now shows you informa tion at just the ri ght time, such
as today’s weather before you s tart your day, how much tra f-
c to expect before you leave for wo rk, and eve n your favorite
team’s score while they’re pl aying.
