Administrator Utility

Overview

The KM0832 Administrator Utility enables network administrators to securely manage the KM0832 Matrix KVM Switch from anywhere on the LAN. Administrators can manage users and groups, control port access, upgrade firmware versions, and perform many other administrative functions using the intuitive and easy-to-use menus and icons. Because it runs inside a Web browser, there is no software to install on either client computers or servers.

The KM0832 Administrator Utility offers simultaneous access for up to seven administrators and users. Security is maintained by a powerful combination of login password protection, three-tier user access, and port restrictions, ensuring that unauthorized users cannot gain control of your mission-critical servers.

An integrated tree view provides seamless navigation of cascaded KM0832 stations, and root station configurations are automatically synchronized with all cascaded switches.

Most features of the KM0832 Administrator Utility are also available from the text-based OSD. Changes made in the KM0832 Administrator Utility are reflected in the text-based OSD and vice-versa.
