2Open the top cover by lifting the lever
on the right side of the top cover.

3Pull the jammed printout gently from the paper tray toward the front of the machine. If the printout is jammed, then pull it toward the back of the machine.

4Remove the print cartridge and turn the spool to tighten the ribbon.
5Install the cartridge. (See Changing the Ribbon, page 86.)
6Close the top cover.
Press the both edges of the top cover and close it until it clicks.
7Put the recording paper back into the paper tray.
