5.12.1 Selecting a Module

Module Selection Screen

MODULE Name (Read-only)

The Module Type ﬁeld displays the type of interface module that is installed in each slot.

Serial # (Read-only)

Indicates the serial number of the module. The serial number is necessary when calling the Cabletron Systems Global Call Center concerning an issue with the device.

Hardware Revision (Read-only)

Reﬂects the hardware version of the module.

5.12.1 Selecting a Module

To select an individual module to perform Local Management functions, proceed as follows:

1.Use the arrow keys to highlight the desired module number in the SLOT # field.

2.Press ENTER, the applicable Module Menu screen displays. Proceed to Section 5.13.

NOTE

When entering Local Management to a module by using a Telnet application, the display line at the top of the screen indicates how the module has been accessed. If the chassis IP address was used, the screen will display 6C105 LOCAL MANAGEMENT. If an IP address was assigned speciﬁcally for the module, and is used to Telnet to the module directly, then the display will read 6H122-16 LOCAL MANAGEMENT.
