Fax Only Mode

Thefax is set up at the factory to Fax/Tel Mode. If you have a dedicated fax line, you need to set the

modeto Fax Only.

jSetting Fax Only Mode

Whenyou set the fax to Fax Only Mode, the unit picks up every call and automatically treats it as a fax

transmission.

Thefax cannot receive automatically if you are making copies, printing reports, or registering

information.See p. 72.

1Press[RECEIVE MODE] until ″Fax Only Mode″

appearson the LCD.

2Press[START/COPY].

Whenthis mode is set, the LCD will display the

timeand ″FaxOnly″.

jReceiving documents in Fax Only Mode

Whenthe fax is set to Fax Only Mode, it automatically receives documents whenever a call comes over

thefax line.

1Makesure the fax is set to ″Fax Only Mode″

(seeabove).

Thefax assumes all incoming calls are from another fax machine sending a document. It receives the

documentsautomatically.
