Using alternative telephonenetworks (UK only)

Thefax has a built-in feature that allows you to send documents and make telephone calls with an

alternativelong-distance service, such as the 2300 Service of Mercury Communications Limited. If you

subscribeto such a service, you can save money on most long-distance and international

communications.

Theprocedures described in this chapter show you how to use your fax with the 2300 Service of

MercuryCommunications Limited. For details on using your fax with alternative telephone services,

contactyour Canon authorised representative.

Attaching the M label

Beforeoperating the fax, attach the M label as shown below.

Registering an alternative telephone network

Whenyou register an alternative telephone network under the [M] button you cannot use the [10]

buttonfor One-touch Speed Dialling.
