Entering a number

Wheneveryou are prompted to enter a fax number or a telephone number, follow these procedures.
Usethe numeric buttons to enter the number.
Youcan enter up to 20 digits for your fax number or 50 digits for a speed dialling number.
Besure to enter 1 and the area code, if necessary, to dial a different area code.
Donot enter dashes, slashes, commas, or other punctuation.
Usethe One-touch Speed Dialling buttons as follows:
Toenter a space between numbers, press [SPACE].
Ifyou make a mistake, press [CLEAR] and enter the number
again.
Toerase a previously registered number, press [CLEAR].
Youcan also enter a new number over the old one.
Ifyou need to enter a pause for any reason,
Press[REDIAL/PAUSE] at the desired point in the sequence when entering a series of digits.
Apause within a number is 2 seconds long*. The length of this pause can be adjusted. See MID
PAUSESET in TX SETTINGS, p. 85. A pause at the end of a number is fixed at 10 seconds.
