Cancelling Sending

Tostop sending before the fax is ﬁnished, press [STOP]. Then you may need to open the operation

panelto remove the document, see Clearing document jams, p. 62.

Redialling

jManual

Tostart dialling again, just press [REDIAL/PAUSE]. (When you press [REDIAL/PAUSE], the previous

numberdialled with the numeric buttons is redialled.)

jAutomatic

Thefax automatically redials twice after the ﬁrst attempt at sending fails (eg. the line was busy).

Thetime between redials is two minutes.

Youcan change the number of redials and the time between redials by changing the AUTO REDIAL

settingin the TX SETTINGS (see p. 85).

Ifthe fax fails to get through after the second redial, the fax beeps.

TheLCD displays REDIALING while the fax is in the redialling process.

jTocancel automatic redialling

Youcan cancel automatic redialling anytime by pressing the [STOP] button.

However,when memory is used during sending (including Delayed Sending and Sequential

Broadcasting),you cannot cancel redialling while REDIALING is displayed on the LCD. In this case,

waituntil dialling begins, then press [STOP] to cancel redialling.
