Sending documents

Direct Sending

To scan and transmit a document one page at a time without storing it in memory ®rst, follow the steps below. This procedure is called ″Direct sending″.

Use Direct Sending if you want to visually con®rm that the fax scans the document. Each page is scanned as it is sent.

Feed the document face-down into the

Dial the other party's fax number.

The fax begins sending the document.

Manual Sending

If you would like to ®rst speak with the person you are sending the fax to, use Manual Sending. You

need to connect the optional handset or an extension phone to the fax for Manual Sending.
