Rebuilding Persistent Bindings

Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Server tab.
Step 2 Onthe Server tab, clickInventory.
Step 3 Inthe Inventory pane, clickthe Network Adapters tab.
Step 4 Inthe Adapter Cards area,select the adaptercard.
Ifthe server is poweredon, theresources of the selected adapter card appear in the tabbed menu below the
AdapterCards area.
Step 5 Inthe tabbed menu below the Adapter Cards area, clickthe vHBAs tab.
Step 6 Inthe Host FibreChannel Interfaces area, select a vHBA from the table.
Step 7 ClickPersistent Bindings to open the Persistent Bindings dialogbox forthe selectedvHBA.
Step 8 Inthe Persistent Bindings dialogbox forthe selectedvHBA, click Rebuild Persistent Bindings.
Step 9 ClickClose.
Managing vNICs

Guidelines for Managing vNICs

Whenmanaging vNICs, considerthe following guidelinesand restrictions:
• The Cisco UCS P81E VirtualInterface Card and Cisco UCS VIC1225 Virtual Interface Card provide
twodefault vNICs (eth0 and eth1). You can create up to 16 additional vNICs on these adapter cards.
IfNetwork Interface Virtualization (NIV) mode is enabled for the adapter, you must
assigna channel number to a vNIC when you create it.
Note
• After making configuration changes, you must reboot the host for settings to take effect.
