You can inventory, monitor, and configure the following network devices:

LAN On Motherboards (LOMs)

Network Daughter Cards (NDCs)

Mezzanine cards (only for blade servers)

Inventory and Monitoring Network Devices

You can remotely monitor the health and view the inventory of the network devices in the managed system.

For each device, you can view the following information of the ports and supported partitions:

Link Status

Properties

Settings and Capabilities

Receive and Transmit Statistics

Monitoring Network Devices Using Web Interface

To view the network device information using Web interface, go to Overview Hardware Network Devices. The Network Devices page is displayed. For more information about the displayed properties, see iDRAC Online Help.

NOTE: If the OS Driver State displays the state as Operational, it indicates the operating system driver state or the UEFI driver state.

Monitoring Network Devices Using RACADM

To view the network device information, use the hwinventory and nicstatistics commands. For more information, see the iDRAC8 RACADM Command Line Interface Reference Guide available at dell.com/ support/manuals.
