Epson DLQ-3000+ Getting detailed printer status information

Status

Displays brief messages describing the current status of the

printer. For a detailed description of printer status, double-click

the printer to open the Printer Status window, and for

information on using this window shown, see the next section.

Job Count

Displays the number of jobs waiting to print.

Note:

You can rearrange the order of the printers in the list by clicking the

Printer Name, Status, and Job Count title bars.

Getting detailed printer status information

You can open the Printer Status window shown below to get

more information on the status of a selected printer.

To open this window, double-click a printer in the Installed

Printers list, or select the printer then cho ose Printer Status

from the Printer menu. You can also access the Printer Status

window from a Status Alert by clicking the Details button in

the Status Alert dialog box.

Paper handling Single sheets loaded from the paper guide The printer does not load single-sheets of paper. The platen does not rotate and the printer does not feed the paper. The platen rotates but the printer does not feed the paper. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams. 8-10 The printer does not fully eject the paper. When the printer ejects the paper, the Paper Out flashes and the Pause light comes on. Continuous paper The printer does not load continuous paper. Paper feeding is crooked or the paper jams. 8-12 The top-of-form position of your continuous paper varies when you print several pages. The printer prints on (or too far away from) the perforation of your continuous paper. The printer does not eject your continuous paper properly. 8-14 Page The cut-sheet feeder feeds more than one sheet at a time. Paper feeding is crooked. 8-16 When the printer ejects the paper, the Paper Out flashes and the Pause light comes on. One page of your document is printed on two pages. Operation The Pause light is off but the printer does not print. The Paper Out and Pause lights are on and the printer does not print. The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing prints. 8-18 The printer makes a strange noise and stops abruptly. The printer stops printing and the Pause light flashes. Printout Part of the printout is missing, or dots are missing in random positions. Lines of dots are missing in the printout as shown below. w 8-20 Incorrect characters are printed. The typestyles or characters set in your application software cannot be printed. Printing starts too high or too low on the page. All the text is printed on the same line. The printout has extra blank lines between lines of text. 8-22 The length of the printing on the page does not match your paper length. Vertical printed lines are not aligned.
