Setting speed for ETA calculation

Speed, which may be input manually or automatically, is required to calculate ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) to a destination.

1.Press the MENU key to open the menu.

2.Press the C: WAYPOINTS/ROUTES soft key.

3.Press the C: LOG soft key.

4.Press the D: SPEED soft key.

5.Enter speed manually in the SPD field, or use GPS speed data (if applicable) by selecting GPS AVG. SPEED.

6.Press the C: ENTER soft key or the ENTER knob to register your selection.

7.Press the MENU key to close the menu.

Switching waypoints

When you arrive to a waypoint on a route, you can switch to the next waypoint by one of the three methods below.

PERPENDICULAR: Automatically switches the destination waypoint when the boat comes passes an imaginary perpendicular line passing through the center of the destination waypoint or the boat comes within the arrival alarm range.

ARRVL ALM CRCL: Destination waypoint is automatically switched when the boat comes within the arrival alarm range. For how to set the arrival alarm, see the paragraph 3.11.2 Arrival alarm.

MANUAL: The destination waypoint may be manually switched by using the A: RESTART soft key (see page 3-44). This function is operative when “1 POINT” is selected as the GOTO method (see page 3-40).
