AUTOPILOT DATA

With autopilot connection, you can display various autopilot infor- mation on the display. This chapter describes what information you receive with autopilot connection.

8.1 Features Available with Autopilot Connection

The following features are available with autopilot (for example,

FURUNO FAP-330) connection:

The FAP-330 feeds autopilot information to the GD/GP-3300 for display on the plot and video pilot displays.

In the AUTO mode the FAP-330 automatically controls rudder movement in order to steer the vessel on a set course, thereby ne- gating the effects of wind and current.

When you restart the NAV mode when navigating a route, a line is drawn between restart point and next intermediate route waypoint. See Figure 8-1.

The autopilot display can be turned on or off on the INITIAL SET- TINGS menu.
