MEMORY CARD OPERATIONS

9.1 Formatting Memory Cards

Before you can save information to a memory card you must prepare
its surface by formatting it. Formatting is a routine procedure you
must perform on new cards before you can use them with this unit.
You have to initialize them only once. You can format cards you’ve
used before, however, in which case all prior information on them is
erased.
1. Insert a brand-new memory card into the upper card slot.
2. Press the [MENU] key.
