6Align the new processor with the processor slot. Note that the processor slot is keyed so the processor can only be installed one way. Press it firmly to install it.

7Secure the new processor with the processor retention bracket and the two screws you removed earlier.

Important As originally shipped, the system board has all of the VRMs necessary to support a full complement of processors. If you need to replace any of the VRMs, you must install one VRM for each processor except the first.
