5Fax Functions

This chapter will introduce you to the various faxing features of the product.

Receiving Faxes

How you receive faxes depends on how Answer Mode is set. Be sure you have set the answer mode to best meet your needs. See “Setting the Answer Mode” on page 8.

Fax polling

Fax polling allows you to set your unit to call another fax machine and check for a waiting fax and then receive it. The waiting fax must be set up to be polled.

1Press the Menu button.

1:Fax Functions will display.

2Press Enter.

1:Send Fax Later will display.

3Press 4.

4:Poll Receive will display.

4Press Enter.

Enter Fax Number will display.

5Type the fax number of the other machine and press Enter.
