Cleaning the Print Cartridge

If you start seeing streaks or missing parts in your printing, first look at the print cartridge to make sure you still have ink. If you have ink and still have problems, make sure paper is loaded and follow these steps.

1Press Menu.

1:Fax Functions will display.

2Press 7.

37:Adv. Setup will display.

4Press Enter.

51:Scan & Fax will display.

6Press 6.

76:Clean Cartridge will display.

8Press Enter.

A series of special printing sequences will clean the cartridge.

9Discard the sheet.

If you clean the cartridge a couple of times and still have print quality problems, replace the print cartridge.

Changing Print Cartridges

When your print cartridge is low on ink, you may see streaks on your faxes or areas of missing ink. To replace the print cartridge follow these instructions.

1Make sure power is on.

2Open the print cartridge doors and wait for the cartridge carriage to move to the center.
