3PAR System Reporter User’s Guide

System Reporter 2.8

You can hide, unhide, or delete the Query Log sheet as desired. If deleted, a new hidden sheet is created for the next query. See Deleting Excel Sheets on page 4.16 to learn how to delete the query log and other sheets.

4.8 Deleting Excel Sheets

When using the 3PAR System Reporter Excel client, you can reset the entire workbook to its original state by following the instructions in Resetting the Workbook on page 4.15, or you can delete unwanted sheets individually as described in this section.

4.8.1 Deleting Menu Sheets

When creating reports with the Excel client, the menu sheets can begin to clutter up the work space after a while and you may want to delete menus that are no longer needed.

To delete menu sheets, click the Add-Insmenu tab, choose the 3PAR pull down menu and then select the Delete menu sheets option.

All menu sheets are deleted.

4.8.2Deleting Data Sheets

Data sheets remain until you manually delete them. Manually deleting a data sheet causes any embedded charts associated with that data sheet to disappear as well.

To delete a data sheet:

1At the bottom of the Microsoft® Excel® window, click a data sheet tab to enable the sheet to be deleted.

2Point to the name of the data sheet tab and then right-click.

3On the shortcut menu that appears, click Delete.

4In the confirmation dialog that appears, click OK.

The data sheet is deleted. Any embedded charts associated with that data sheet disappear as well.

4.8.3Deleting the Query Log

You can also delete the query log, which is by default a hidden sheet, by making it visible and then using the method described above to delete it.
