DCharging description

qInstall the Ni-Cd batteries. (See left page)

• Ni-MH batteries can also be charged.

wPlug the AC adapter into an AC outlet; or the optional CP-

18A/E into a cigarette lighter socket.

eInsert the adapter plug into [DC 6V] of the receiver.

rThe battery type conﬁrmation is displayed as above right.

•When no conﬁrmation display is indicated, insert the adapter plug while pushing [FUNC].

•Once the batteries are removed for more then 2 sec., the follow- ing operations are necessary.

yThe charging conﬁrmation is displayed.

uRotate [DIAL] to select “Y” then push [BAND•] to start battery charging.

•The battery indicator scrolls during charge as below.

•When the batteries are charged completely, the battery indica- tor (both segments) blinks.

•Takes approximately 10 hours for fully charge with the supplied Ni-Cd cells.
