DCloning using a personal computer

Data can be cloned to and from a personal computer (Mi- crosoft® Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP) using the optional CS-R5CLONING SOFTWARE and the optional OPC-478UCLONING CABLE. Consult the CS-R5CLONING SOFTWARE HELP file for details.

DCloning error

NOTE: DO NOT push any key on the sub-receiver during cloning. This will cause a cloning error.

When the display appears as below, a cloning error has oc- curred.

In such a case, both receivers automatically return to the clone standby condition and cloning must be repeated.

Auto power-off function

USING EXPANDED SET MODE

The IC-R5 can be set to automatically turn OFF after a spec- ified period in which no operation is performed.

120 min., 90 min., 60 min., 30 min. and OFF can be specified. The specified period is retained even when the receiver is turned OFF by the auto power-off function. To cancel the function, select “OFF” in step e below.

qPush [TS•SET] for 1 sec. to enter set mode. wRotate [DIAL] to select “AP OFF” item.

Turn the expanded set mode ON for selection. (p. 39)
