Powering Off Manually
To power off your system manually, follow these steps:
Caution: If you power off the system before you halt the operating system, you can lose data.
1. Shut down the operating system by entering the following command:
# init 0
2. Press the power buttons or power switches on each of the IRUs that you want to power off.
You may power off the IRUs in any order:
• To power off the optional storage units, press the power button(s) on its rear panel to the
OFF (O) position.
• To power off the IRUs, press the power button with the LED on the front panel of each
unit (see Figure 1-21 on page 41).
