Configuration Via Serial Mode or Telnet Port

The Re-notification interval indicates the time interval in which a new Email message is sent to the recipient(s) when a single trigger event remains active.

WLAN Settings

Without adequate protection, a wireless LAN is susceptible to access by unauthorized users. As such, WiPort includes the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption standard as an additional means of security.

To modify WLAN and WEP settings, select 4 WLAN from the Change Setup menu.

Enable WLAN

The current value is displayed in parentheses. By default, WLAN is enabled on WiPort.

Enable WLAN (Y) ? _

Find Network Name

Enter the name of the network in which the WiPort unit resides. The current value is displayed in parentheses.

Find network name (LTRX_IBSS) ? _

Enable Ad Hoc Network Creation

The current value is displayed in parentheses. By default, Ad Hoc network creation is enabled on WiPort.

Enter Y to enable Ad Hoc network creation and display configurable parameters:

1.At the Name prompt, enter the network name as text and hit Enter. The default name displays in parentheses.

2.Select a Country by entering 0, 1, or 3. By default, 0 (United States) is selected. Press Enter.

3.At the Channel prompt, enter the WiPort’s channel setting.
