Placing a Call

Youcan place calls by saying a contact name, a department name, or the numbers of the phone
number.
The system can call contact names in the Company Directory or in yourPersonal Directory.
When using the Company Directory, youc an requestt he department name or sayt he name
of the person and the system (by default) transfers the call to the business number. Toplace
a call to a cellular phone, pager, fax, voice mail number, or home number of the person in the
company directory,y ou must request it specifically.For example, you could say "Bill Smith on
his home number." Note that to receive the call, Bill would not have his home phone number
set to "Private". If the phone number is setto "Trusted Users", then you would have to login to
the Speech Server system and thenreq uestth ecall.
Whenusing the P ersonal Directory,you have the o ption of calling any of the five phone numbers
(business, home, pager, cellular phone, or fax) that belong to your personal contact as long as
theywere programmed in Microso ftOutlook. When pla cing thecall ,you mu st askf orthe num ber
specifically. For example, you could say "Bob Black on his home number."Th eh ome phone
number for Bob Black would be programmed in your contact list in Microsoft Outlook.
