Benefits of the System
You ca n
• Place calls to any number in the Company Directory with a name, extension, or department
name, 24 hours a day from any phone.
• Place calls by name to your frequently-called numbers in your Personal Directory.
• Access the system from your home or cellular phone and use voice commands to place
calls to numbers that are programmed in your Personal or Company Directory.
• With the Mobility/Forwarding option, forward your incoming calls to another number, for
example, your home number, or cellular phone number.
• Listen to all of your messages from one inbox (Microsoft Exch ange).
• Use your phone to listen to your e-mails. The Unified Messaging software is synchronized
with the contact list in Microsoft Exchange and uses Text-to-Speech (TTS) to play your
e-mail messages over the phone. Youcan reply with a voice message that will be sent as
ane-ma ilattachment, or you can instruct the system to call the sender. The e-mail address
of the sender is not required in the Personal or Company Directory, butthe pho ne number
must be listed in one of the directories.
• Use your phone to check for messages from a particular person. You can then reply to or
forwardthe message to a name listed in your Personal Directory or the Company Directory.
• Use your pager or e-mail enabled device to be notified when a message arrives.
• Use the traditional touchtone phone command s to manage and access your messages.
• Use your Personal Web Page to set your messaging preferences and notification settings.
Optional features let you
• Send out meeting requests. Simply give the auto-attendan t the list of names, the date, the
start and end time, and record a message that will be e-mailed to your attendees.
• Create and manage your appointments in Cale ndar (Microsoft Exchange).
• Create and manage your tasks in Tasks (Microsoft Exchange).
• Search for and find faxes in your Inbox .
• Forward an e-mail or a fax to a fax machine for printing.
• Play customized VoiceXML scripts with the Enterprise VoiceP ortaloption .The sescr ipts
