After dialing, the modem processes the following call failures as forbidden calls:

The modem receives a busy tone after dialing a call, or

The call is not answered within the time in the Call Timeout (AT *TT) option

For these call failure conditions, 11 subsequent redial attempts are allowed. If either of the above call failure conditions occur more than 12 times, the number is placed on the forbidden list, and calls to this number are not allowed.

Belgium—Delayed Call Lists

The modem processes call attempt failures as delayed calls, according to PTT regulations. Before dialing a number, the modem determines whether:

The number is on the delayed list

The delayed list is full (the list holds 16 numbers)

In either case, the number is not dialed. When the modem is turned off and then on again, the lists are cleared, and the numbers can be dialed.

After dialing, the modem processes the following call failures as delayed calls:

The modem receives a busy tone after dialing a call

The call is not answered within the time in the Call Timeout (AT *TT) option.

For these call failure conditions, three subsequent redial attempts are allowed. If the redial call attempts are unsuccessful after a total of four calls, within one hour, the number is placed on the delayed list. Then it cannot be dialed for 60 minutes. After 60 minutes, the number is available for dialing.
