6.1GT30 Configuration Settings

Before using the GT30 for the first time, it must be set up by entering the GT30 configuration settings indicated below. Always check and enter the settings under “Basic communication area to PLC”. For instructions on setting up the GT30, see page 37.

6.1.1Two Types of GT30 Configuration Settings

1. Entering configuration settings from GTWIN screen creation tool . page 95

With this method, GT30 configuration settings are entered from GTWIN screen creation tool, and the GT30 configuration file is sent to the GT30. Most items can be set using this method.

Some of the settings, such as the communication parameters, the internal clock, and adjustments of the liquid crystal display contrast, can be set using the system menu of the GT30. Settings are entered using the touch switches on the front of the panel.
