(Conditions) The dialog appears when the drive, whose available space is the biggest in the NTFS volumes recognized by the system (includes network connection) (*1), fulfills either condition below:

-Security limitation of READ_ONLY is set.

-There is no sufficient space on the drive.

(*1) The drive is where temporary files for applying HotFix are expanded by default.

(Remedies)

Make sure to perform the following steps on the [Choose Directory For

Extracted Files] dialog box.

a)Search the drive which fulfills the conditions below. (Either NTFS or FAT)

-Security limitation of READ_ONLY is not set.

-There is sufficient space on the drive.

b)Create a new empty directory on the drive found on a).

c)Specify the directory created on b) on the [Choose Directory For Extracted Files] dialog box.

Note: Do not specify an existing directory on the [Choose Directory For Extracted Files] dialog box. A specified directory is deleted after HotFix will be applied.

7.After the system’s update is completed, the dialog box below will be displayed. Click [OK]. The system will be rebooted. Eject a CD from CD-ROM drive after the reboot process starts.

IMPORTANT: If the message, Windows - FT Orphaning A disk that is part of a fault-tolerant volume can no longer be accessedis displayed during the update process, an OS stop error may occur when restarting the OS. If an OS stop error occurs, perform the following procedures. In this case, the system will be successfully updated, however, disk mirroring is disabled. Make sure to check disk mirroring in 7.

1)Power off the system by pressing and holding the POWER switch.

2)Make sure that the two BMC Status LEDs of the PCI modules (for Group1/ Group2) are turned off.

While the BMC Status LED is red blinking, do not perform step c) and the following. Otherwise the BMC firmware may become damaged.

3)Identify the PCI module where POWER switch is lit green.

Remember which PCI module’s POWER switch (for Group1 or Group2) is lit green. Unplug the power cord connected to the following AC inlet.

See the rear view of this product in page 4-9 for the location of the AC inlet.

-If PCI module (for Group1)’s POWER switch is lit green,

unplug the power cord connected to “AC inlet B (for Group 1)” on the rear
