6When you release the Side button,
select one of the following:
Sending a text message
1Press the Side button to go to PTT.
2Highlight the contact or group you want
to send the text message to.
3Press Right to open the pop-up
menu.
4Select Text Message.
5Enter the text.
6Select Send.
NOTE When you address a text message
to a group that contains more than ten
members, the text message is sent only to
the first ten members in the group.
Sending a Call-Me alert
1Press the Side button to go to PTT.
2Highlight the contact you want to send
the Call-Me alert to.
3Press Right to open the pop-up
menu.
4Select Call-Me Alert.
Viewing messages
You can view all your PTT alerts and
deferred invitations in one place.
1Press the Side button to go to PTT.
2Press Menu .
3Select Options and then select
Message Center.
4Do any of the following:
•To acknowledge and delete an
individual item, check the box next to
the item and select Clear.
Plays the voice messag e
Erases the voice message and
refreshes the screen so you can
rerecord the message
Sends the voice message

A tone sounds every ten
seconds until the recipient answers the alert
or six minutes elapse, whichever occurs first.
