4. Select Covert/PTZ Setup from the Camera menu, and then press the Enter button. The Covert/PTZ Setup menu appears.

5.For each camera, set up the following settings:

Covert: Turn this setting on or off. If a camera is set as covert, the DX4000 records its video but does not display it.

Address: Select the PTZ address in use by each camera. Valid addresses are 0 through 255. Refer to the operation manual for your camera to determine its PTZ address.

PTZ Protocol: Select the PTZ protocol in use by each camera. Several protocols are available. Refer to the operation manual for your camera to determine its PTZ protocol (for example, Pelco D or Pelco P).

6.Move to the Baud Rate field and select the rate at which PTZ cameras will communicate with the DX4000. The default rate is 9600 BPS. Available baud rates range from 2400 BPS to 34800 BPS.

7.Press the Return button after you have completed setting up covert and PTZ settings.

8.Select Color Setup from the Camera menu, and then press the Enter button. The Color Setup menu appears.
