Connection with an SVideo(Y/C)cable
Thisconnecting cable, also known as theSVHS cable, is usedto
transmitthe brightness signal (Y signal) and colour signal(C signal)
separately.This mini DINsocket/plug is alsocalled a Hosiden
socket/plug.

Connection with video (CVBS) cable
Thiscable, usuallywith yellow Cinch connectors,is used for
transmittingthe Composite Videosignal (FBAS, CVBS).In thismethod
oftransmission the colour signal and thebrightness signal are
transmittedon thesame cable. Incertain circumstances,this can lead
toslight problems with the picture, such as 'Moiré' patterns.

Connection with the aerial cable only
Toconnect thisDVD-Recorder to a TVset withoutexternal
Audio/Videoinput sockets, youneed amodulator. With the modulator
theaudio/video signal is converted in an UHF-channel.This signal can
bereceived and stored on the TV as a TV-station.
