General information
The'Disc Manager' is an integrated database in the DVD recorder that
remembersall recordings on DVD+RW/+R discs made by this DVD
recorder.This gives you a complete overview of your entire video
collectionat the touchof abutton. TheDisc Managergives you quick
andeasy accessto every recording made on withthis DVD
recorder.The Disc Manageralso tells youwhich filmwas recordedon
whichdisc and howmany unrecordedminutes remain on thediscs.
And:You can go automatically to the beginning of the selected
recordingand start playback.
Howmany discscan I savein theDisc Manager?
Youcan storeup to999 discs onthis DVD recorder.The maximum number
oftitles is morethan 9,000. The maximumnumber of titlesper disc is49.
Cautionwhen recording with otherDVD recorders
Don'tuse adisc storedin the DiscManager for recordingon other DVD
recorders.If you usea discto recordon another DVDrecorder, then this
discwill nolonger be recognisedby the DiscManager. In thiscase, delete
thedisc from the Disc Manager's memory and then add it after it has been
recorded.
Adding'child-proof discs'
Ifyou want to add child-proof discs you need to enter the PIN code.
Adding a disc to the Disc Manager
Youcan only add DVD+RW or DVD+R discs to the Disc Manager
sinceother discs do not hold any information on the titles or lengths of
therecordings. These discshave to be at least once recorded in the
DVD-Recorder.A table ofcontent haveto beavailable.
DVD+Rdiscs can also befinalised. Other discs cannot be addedto the
DiscManager.
Recordingsare saved automatically
Ona discthat has beenadded to the Disc Manager,you can make new
recordingsas often as you likeusing this DVD recorder. The titles of these
recordingswill be stored in the Disc Manager automatically.
Preparation:
•)The TV set is switched on, and if necessary, the programme number for the DVD
recorderhas been selected.
•)the DVD recorder is switched on.

Thedisc isnow storedin theDisc Manager under the
displayeddisc number.
Pleasewrite this number on the disc and on the cover.
Whydo Ineed tolabel the discs?
Whensearching for unrecordedfree space oravailable recordings, you
willasked to insert the appropriate discs (disc numbers).
5Toend, press DISCMANAGER .
TheDVD recorder will immediately recognise that this disc is saved in
theDisc Manager. When this discis inserted the disc number will
appearin the title overview in the top left-hand corner.
