Selectthe country you currently live from the list. The DVD recorder

'Postal code'
In order to adjust the GUIDE Plus+®system correctly, it is necessary
toknow your current location with the TV channels available. Using
thelocal post code and the country, the DVD recorder can
automaticallymake the settings.
1Press OK.
2Choosethe entry position using C,D. Select the local post
codeof your location using A,B,or the number buttons
0..9.
ODependingon the country you select, you can also enter
lettersusing Bor A.
aIcannot enter a local post code
bYouhave selected a country in which none of the channels transmits
GUIDEPlus+®data yet.
3Confirmthe local post code with OK.
4Press OKto return to the 'Setup' screen.
'External receiver 1'
OHowyou install the external receiver you will read in the next
chapter.
OIf you have no external receiver connected, read the section
'Finaliseset-up'.

If you have connected an external receiver (satellite receiver, set-top
box,cable TV box), you must also install it in the GUIDE Plus+®
system.TV programmes (TV channels) that you can only watch via the
receivercan also be displayed in the GUIDE Plus+®system and be
programmedfor recording.
Youcan connect up to three external receivers to the DVD-Recorder.

receiver1' and confirm with OK.
2Readthe information on the screen and confirm with OK.
3Selectthe type of the external receiver. This setting serves to
preselectthe type used.
Whichtypes can I choose?
Thisselection depends on the country and the GUIDE Plus+®system
provider.Therefore, some types may have no function.
'Cable':Cable receiver, cable box.
'Satellite':Analogue or digital satellite receiver.
'Terrestrial':Digital terrestrial decoder box.
'None':No external device connected.
4Confirmwith OK .
If you selected 'None', there is nothing further you need to do
here.Read on in the section entitled 'Continue set-up'.
Otherwise,you should continue here.
5Selectyour provider from the list.
OIf you do not have a provider, select 'No provider'
6Confirmwith OK .
7Selectthe brand of your external receiver from the list. If,
additionallyyour provider is printed on your receiver (e.g. Sky,...),
youmust choose the provider as brand.
ODependingon the type and provider you selected, a limited
selectionwill appear.
The GUIDE Plus+® System
