Hiding chapters
Initially,all the chapters are visible.You can hidechapters for playback
(e.g.unwanted scenes) or makethem visibleagain. In editingmode,
hiddenchapters are shown darker.
Achapter always consists of a start marker and an end marker.
Tohide acertain scene, proceedas follows:
1Searchthe beginning of the scene you want to hide. Press
PAUSE9.

2Press EDITon the remote control to call the 'Favorite Scene
Selection'editing menu.
3Setthe startmarker using OK .
PThenumber ofchapters ('C') inthe menuline willincrease by
one.
4Searchfor the end of the scene.
OYoucan also use Oor Ntosearch faster for theend of
thescene.
Makesure that you do not jump into the next title (title
number'T' must not change).
OOnlychapters within a titlecan be hidden.
5Press PAUSE9at thecorresponding position.
6Setthe end markerwith OK . Thiswill alsobe thestart marker of
thenext chapter.
PThenumber ofchapters ('C') inthe menuline increasesby
one.
aThenumber ofchapters ('C') has increasedby two ormore
numbers
bThisis the case when you want to hide a chapter that, due to
automaticchapter numbering (if switchedon), stretches over two or
morechapters. In thiscase, you mustdelete the start ofthe
automaticallygenerated chapter:
-Press T/C twice while the editing menu is displayed to changethe
chapternumber.
-Select the chapter between the new markers using Bor A. Press
PAUSE9.
-Select 'Delete marker' with Bto delete the currentchapter
marker.Confirm with OK . Thecurrent chapter numberdecreases by
one.
7Press T/Ctwice to change the chapter number 'C'.
8Selectthe previous chapter with B, since you are already in the
nextchapter (end of the chapter is also the beginning of the next
chapter).
9Waituntil the chapterhas been playedand press PAUSE 9to
stopplayback.
0Select'Current chapter' using Bor A.
AUsing Cselect'hidden'.
PThepicture is showndarker.
Switchingquickly
Youcan switchbetween show chapters ('visible') and hidechapters
('hidden')quickly and easilyusing SELECT .
Thisfunction is independentfrom the selectedline.

Duringplayback this chapterwill be skipped.
If the chapter is not visible, select 'visible' in step Awith C.
Deleting chapter markers
Withina title you candelete either all markersor individual markers.
