Amarker will beset every5-6 minutesif the 'Autochapters' function

isactivated in the'Record settings' menu. Thismarker isknown asa

'chapter'.

Thesemarkers can be changed when the recording has finished.

Canmarkers be seton a DVD+R disc?

Markerscan be seton these discs ifthey have not beenfinalised.

Itis alsopossible toadd 'chapters' later. Thismeans that scenesyou do

notwant tosee duringplayback can be hiddenor skipped.During

playbackyou can watchyour recording as acontinuous sequence

withoutthe hidden chapters.

Favorite Scene Selection

In this menu you can adapta titleto suit your particular needs.

Youcan insert/deletechapter markers, hide chapters,select a new

index,or split up a title.

In this menu you can adapta titleon a DVD+RW/+R to suit your

particularneeds.

Youcan insert/deletechapter markers, delete all chapter markers, or

splitup thetitle. Press EDIT on theremote control during recording

toopen this menu.

Insert chapter markers

Duringrecording, you canset ordelete chapter markers withina title.

Themaximum number of chapters per disc is 255 and 99 per title. If

oneof theselimits is reached the following message will appear on the

screen:'Chapter limit'. You need to delete some markers before you

caninsert new ones or make recordings.

1Duringplayback, press EDIT on theremote control at the

appropriatepoint.

PThe'Favorite Scene Selection'menu appears onthe TV

screen.
