54Hide chapters (sections)
Bydefault, all chapters are visible. You can hide or unhide certain
chaptersduring playback (e.g. unwantedscenes).
In theediting mode, you will recognise a hidden chapter by a grey
backgroundand the description of the blue function button:
O'HIDE':
Chapteris visible and canbe hidden with the blue button.
O'SHOW':
Chapteris hidden and can be made visible with the blue
button.
Tohide a certain scene, proceed as follows:
1Press BROWSERHDD on the remotecontrol.
PThe'Media Browser' appears on the screen.
2Selectthe title you wantto editusing B,A.
3Press EDITon the remote control.
PThetitle edit menu appearson the screen.
4Select'Video edit' with Band confirm with C.
PPlayback starts automatically
5Searchthe beginning of the scene (section) you want to hide using
O,N,D,C.Press PAUSE9.
6Setthe start marker with the blue function button.
PThedescription of the function key changes from 'HIDE'to
'STOPHIDE'.
7Searchfor the end of the scene (section).
OUse O,N,D,Ctosearch for the end of the scene.
PThearea is being marked.
Toenlarge the actual position of the timebar in several steps you
canuse A.You can switch back using B.
Tofind the right position you can step a frame forward or
backwardusing the D,Cbutton.
Toselect the end of the title use O
8Press PAUSE9at thecorresponding position.
9Setthe end marker with the blue function button.
PThe'hidden' area isgreyed out.
PThedescription of the blue function key changes to 'HIDE'.
Endwith EDIT.
PAdditionallyto the original title the edited title appears in the
'MediaBrowser'.
Youcan delete the edited title without deleting the original
one.
Ifthe original title is being deleted, the edited tiltle
willbe also deleted.
Duringplayback, the 'hidden'scene isskipped. If you want to archive
thetitle you can decide to archive the original title or the edited one.
OArchivingof the 'edited'title
The'hidden' szenes were not copied on the DVD+RW/+R.
OArchivingof the 'original'title
The'hidden' szenes were copied as 'hidden' on the
DVD+RW/+R.How you can make them visible again you can
readin the chapter ' Managing the disc content'.
