3.5 FTP settings
Once you have your FTP server se t up, you must configure the LAN Doc king Station to use it. To
configure the FTP setti ngs, follow these steps:
Open the LAN Docki ng Station
configuration inter face by entering its IP
address in your Web browser or using th e
LAN Docking Stat ion Administration Tool.
If your FTP server can a ccept secure (SFTP)
connections, check t he SFTP radio button
on the FTP settings pa nel. Otherwise, chec k
the FTP radio button o n the FTP settings
panel.
Enter the domain name or I P address of
your FTP server into the F TP SERVER field.
The FTP server does no t have to be on the
the local area network . If you reference the
FTP server using its d omain name, make
sure that at least one DNS s erver is configured (see Assigni ng a static IP address on page 14) or
that you are using DHCP (see Ass igning an IP address from DHCP on pa ge 13).
Enter the port numbe r of your FTP server into the FT P PORT field. The port number sho uld
be 21 for FTP or 22 for SFTP, unless your F TP server is configured wit h a nonstandard port
number.
Enter the name of the FTP u ser account into the USERNA ME field. This should be the us er
account you have set up to receive dic tation file uploads from the LA N Docking Station. See
Setting up the FTP ser ver on page 9 for more information.
Enter the password of the F TP user account into the PASSWORD fi eld and confirm the
password by typing it aga in into the CONFIRM PASSWORD fi eld.
Enter the path to the direc tory to receive dictation fil es into the PATH ON SERVER field. If
you want to use the default di rectory of the user account , leave the field empty.
Press the SUBMIT bu tton at the bottom of the FTP se ttings panel in order to save your
changes.
